Andrew L. Mitchell, ABA, EA

Managing Partner

Andy has lived in the Traverse City area since l991.  He started the firm in 1995 and recently opened a second office in the village of Grand Marais in Michigan's beautiful Upper Peninsula. He graduated in 1991 from Northwood University with a Bachelor's of Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting.  He earned his Accredited Business Accountant (ABA) credentials in 1995 and his certification as an IRS Enrolled Agent (EA) in 2002.  Andy enjoys outdoor activities including biking, hiking, and kayaking as well as working in his gardens. His other interests include music and cooking.


 

Kimberly Underhill, ABA, EA

Senior Staff Accountant

Kim has been a resident of the Traverse City area since 1980.  She graduated in 2003 from Lake Superior State University with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting with a concentration in Public Accounting and joined the firm in 2004.  Kim is a senior staff accountant and earned her Accredited Business Accountant (ABA) credentials in December, 2007 and her certification as an IRS Enrolled Agent (EA) in May, 2006.  Kim's interests include farming, horses, and working on cars.


 

Lindsey VanBerlo

Staff Accountant

Lindsey has lived in the Traverse City area since 1987.  She graduated in 2011 from Ferris State University with a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and joined the firm shortly after graduation.  Lindsey's interests include spending time with her husband, taking road trips and reading.


 

Beth Farrier

Bookkeeper

Beth is a native of the Traverse City area and joined the firm as a bookkeeper in October, 2006.  She treasurers time with her husband and young son, as well as camping, gardening and learning how to cook healthy, gluten-free meals.


Arlene Forrester

Legal Assistant

Arlene had visited and vacationed in the Traverse City area for many years before becoming a permanent resident in 2000.  She graduated from the Legal Assistant program at Oakland University in Rochester, MI, and is a Certified Legal Assistant.  She worked as a legal assistant for a down-state law firm for 25 years and owned her own manufacturing business for 15 years prior to moving to Traverse City.  Unwilling to "retire," she became a member of the staff in October, 2006.  Arlene's greatest joy is spending time with her grandchildren and family.  She also enjoys golf, sewing and crafts, plus the vast offering of fine restaurants and cultural events in the area.
